Extended Biography
This is my story.
For as long as I can remember, music has been my passion. As a child, I would spend my days running around the house singing, dancing, and playing dress up. This love continued through elementary school and high school, as it transpired through bands, choirs, musicals, and more. Unfortunately, I also struggled severely with mental health in high school. Music was and continues to be my main coping mechanism for anxiety and stress. Writing and producing music pulled me through depression and uncertainty. Music has been a bridge for me to express my emotions in a healthy and fulfilling manner. I’ve learned to heal from struggles and express my strengths through my storytelling. From my experience as a songwriter, I learned how important lyrics are to the song as a whole, and as I grew into my career, how important it was for the production and the mix to aid those lyrics. Despite my growing experience as a songwriter and a performer, I knew that I was always searching for a greater involvement in the final product of a song - I wanted to learn what it meant to be behind the board.

When I arrived at Berklee, I knew that I wanted to build a career on the technical side of music. In September of 2023, I was able to record my debut single entitled “the giver” about the struggles of being a teenager in a world that takes kindness and compassion for granted. This experience in a professional studio gave me the chance to understand what that side of music creation looks like, and how truly influential it is on the song as a whole. I saw how my engineer transformed my song from a demo on my keyboard to something that fulfilled its purpose in a way that was intimate, yet impactful. From that day forward, I knew that my calling was to be in the production and engineering industry of music.
I went into this industry solely because of passion and connection, I knew that I had something others did not - a drive and determination to make a difference through music, as it made a difference for me. Berklee showed me endless possibilities. The opportunities it has to offer doesn't force you to focus on one part of the industry, but rather take a little from every corner in a way that makes you stand out. The Music Production & Engineering and Electronic Production & Design majors at Berklee became two clear goals for me, both of which I had to apply for with very difficult acceptance rates. I knew that I had to take advantage of what these majors had to offer for one simple reason: I knew nothing about them. Going from a beginner to a professional takes strength, perseverance, and a certain type of person to make it possible. Through the late nights, countless office hours, and unfathomable amount of studying, I have never once doubted my ability to succeed at this college and to make a name for myself. After struggling with mental health for so long, I knew that I could only ever find happiness in this life by doing what I love: music. A word that encompasses passion, drive, failure, knowledge, perseverance, collaboration, love, and above all else, trust. Trust in oneself and one's abilities.

Berklee has given me a wealth of knowledge that I will forever be grateful for, with the privilege to study under esteemed professionals such as Tony Maserati, John Escobar, and John Paterno. In addition, the wealth of opportunities and diversity at Berklee has allowed me to explore different styles and genres through collaborative work. Such incredible mentorship has allowed me to cultivate my own path at Berklee and grow my unique experience in engineering and production.

Now, I am beginning to expand my work beyond Berklee, working with various artists, bands, and composers to expand my portfolio and network.

The journey continues, and I am extremely excited for the sonic worlds I will build and the stories I will have the privilege of bringing to life for others!
